Tiffany & Co. unveils its latest fine jewellery timepiece, the Rope by Tiffany watch — a radiant fusion of Jean Schlumberger’s signature twisted rope motif and forward-thinking solar-powered technology.
Offered in both 27mm and 33mm sizes, the piece is crafted in 18k yellow gold and represents the house’s first solar-powered watch — a bold step that signals Tiffany’s ongoing dedication to craftsmanship, elegance, and environmental responsibility.
Paying homage to Schlumberger’s fascination with textiles, the rope-like motif encircles the dial in polished gold, separated by a ring of round brilliant diamonds. The 27mm model features 38 diamonds (0.52 carats), while the larger 33mm design boasts 39 diamonds (0.9 carats), lending brilliance and depth to the silhouette.
Beneath the dial lies a Swiss-made solar movement, developed in partnership with La Joux-Perret. Hidden beneath a semi-translucent mother-of-pearl dial — available in black or white — the solar cells capture light even in low-light conditions.
A full charge yields an eight-month power reserve, while just two minutes of sunlight provides a full day’s autonomy.
Additional design touches include a rope-patterned minute hand and a sun-engraved, diamond-set caseback. The white dial variant is paired with a Tiffany Blue alligator strap, while the black version features a sleek black alligator counterpart.
The Rope by Tiffany watch retails at £14,900 for the 27mm edition and £20,500 for the 33mm.
