DeMellier’s New Sloane Square Flagship Feels Like a Beautiful London Home
If someone offered us the keys to DeMellier’s new Sloane Square store, we might very seriously ask whether moving in was an option. The London handbag label has opened its first-ever flagship, and it feels far more like a beautiful home than a shop.
The doors opened on 24 October 2026 at 35–37 Sloane Square, where founder Mireia Llusia-Lindh and architect Nicolas Schuybroek have turned a two-storey address into an understated expression of the brand. The bags are displayed among furniture and objects as though they belong there, not arranged as museum exhibits.

Come in, make yourself comfortable
Upstairs, vintage chairs, books and natural materials create the atmosphere of a private living room. The palette is tactile and warm: think plaster, stone, timber and linen rather than high-shine surfaces and intimidating spotlights.
Downstairs, a long table made from reclaimed wood gives the space a dining-room feel. It is intended to host conversations, intimate dinners and gatherings, which is a rather more interesting prospect than a conventional accessories store.

Behind the handbags
A dedicated Craft Corner explains the process of making a DeMellier bag, from the materials to the techniques behind the finished piece. This matters: good craftsmanship deserves a closer look, not just a place on a price label.
The shop also brings its own Sloane Square handbag design to the collection. In an era when almost anything can be ordered online, it is a strong reminder that a physical boutique has to offer more than a transaction.
