Sanlorenzo Launches Two New Luxury Yachts in the UK

On 8th October 2024, Sanlorenzo, the Italian maestros of yacht and superyacht design, unveiled two new models in the UK: the SL86A and SP92.

These yachts, which first made waves at the Cannes Yacht Show 2024, showcase Sanlorenzo’s dedication to innovation and sustainability. With sizes slightly smaller than their predecessors, both models promise expansive, fully customisable interiors that offer yacht owners complete creative freedom.

SL86A: A Masterpiece of Asymmetry

The SL86A, developed in partnership with Studio Zuccon International Project, redefines space on board by eliminating one of the two external walkways.

This allows for an expanded living area on the main deck, where entertaining and relaxation take centre stage. The deck layout can also be adapted for additional uses such as a cinema or playroom, a feature unique to this size category.

From floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic sea views to the seamless integration of outdoor sunbathing areas, the SL86A is designed to immerse passengers in the beauty of the open water.

Interior materials like untreated wood, marble, and natural fabrics bring a sense of transparency and lightness, ensuring elegance at every corner.

Sustainability is key, as Sanlorenzo integrates recycled and recyclable materials into the yacht’s construction while a hydrodynamic hull optimises fuel consumption.

SP92: A Sporty, Sustainable Powerhouse

The SP92 builds on Sanlorenzo’s Smart Performance line, featuring a design optimised for efficiency and sustainability.

The yacht’s high-performance monocrystalline photovoltaic system and specially engineered hull reduce its environmental footprint, consuming up to 13% less fuel than conventional designs. The SP92 blends sportiness and luxury, boasting sleek lines and expansive customisable spaces, including a 45-square-metre beach area.

Inside, the SP92 offers four levels of living space, including a full-beam owner’s cabin and an optional fourth cabin that can double as a playroom or cinema.

The yacht also provides waterjet propulsion, delivering 4,000 horsepower for those seeking speed and power on the seas.

Sanlorenzo’s Vision for the Future

Founded in 1958, Sanlorenzo continues to lead the luxury yacht market by combining traditional craftsmanship with technological innovation. The shipyard’s forward-thinking approach is evident in its commitment to sustainability, with a “Road to 2030” strategy that focuses on reducing emissions through green technologies and hybrid propulsion systems. By 2027, the shipyard plans to launch a superyacht powered by 80% green methanol, aligning with the EU’s Fit for 55 agenda.
