Four Seasons, Four Icons: Rolex Unveils Unique Gem-Set Daytonas for Charity

The one-of-a-kind creations will take centre stage at a Phillips auction in London, supporting charities connected to Roger Federer and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Rolex is giving collectors a rare opportunity to acquire one of four unique Cosmograph Daytonas, each inspired by a different season and transformed with precious metals, ornamental stone dials and exceptional gem-setting.

The quartet represents an unusual moment for the famously discreet watchmaker. Rolex seldom confirms a creation as a true one-off—and rarer still is the chance to purchase a unique interpretation of the Daytona, one of the Crown’s most coveted models.

Each watch offers a distinct vision of the changing year. Spring pairs a vivid green chrysoprase dial with purple diamond hour markers, a bezel set with 36 trapeze-cut purple sapphires and diamond-covered lugs. Summer evokes clear skies and warm coastlines through a turquoise dial framed by luminous pink sapphires.

Autumn takes on richer, earthier tones with a mustard-coloured mookaite dial and green tourmaline accents. Winter completes the collection in dramatic fashion, combining a kaleidoscopic blue opal dial with sapphires that graduate from blue to fuchsia, punctuated by diamond hour markers.

The watches have been crafted in a selection of Rolex’s most prestigious materials: 18-karat yellow, white and Everose gold, alongside 950 platinum. Their elaborate stonework elevates the Daytona’s familiar sporting silhouette into something closer to wearable high jewellery.

Phillips will oversee the sale in London on 28 September 2026. Proceeds will benefit the Roger Federer Foundation, which supports children’s access to early education in Southern Africa and Switzerland, and Re:wild, the conservation organisation associated with Leonardo DiCaprio that works to protect and restore ecosystems worldwide.

The charitable dimension reflects Rolex’s belief that excellence should extend beyond craftsmanship to meaningful global impact.

Demand is expected to be intense. With a reported estimate of approximately CHF 4 million—around $5 million—for each unique piece, the Four Seasons Daytonas are poised to become some of the year’s most closely watched horological lots.
