Inside Ibiza’s New Clifftop Temple of Wellness, Music and Bohemian Luxury

Ibiza may be best known for its beach clubs and late-night energy, but a new opening on the island’s rugged northern coast is offering a slower and more soulful interpretation of Balearic life.

Mexican-born hospitality brand Nômade Temple has officially opened Nômade Temple Ibiza in Portinatx, marking its second Spanish property following the launch of Nômade Temple Madrid earlier this year.

Surrounded by dramatic cliffs, native vegetation and a secluded cala, the new hotel has been conceived as a nature-rooted sanctuary where architecture, wellness, food, music and community come together.

Rather than attempting to compete with Ibiza’s more familiar party scene, the property draws upon the island’s original bohemian character, creating a destination centred on connection, creativity and what the brand describes as “celebratory healing”.

A Different Side of Ibiza

Nômade Temple Ibiza occupies a transformed former resort on the island’s quieter northern coastline.

Designed and curated by Oneness, the project was guided by the principle of “giving the land back to nature”, with existing structures reinterpreted to sit more naturally within their surroundings.

Local and characterful materials, including piedra blanca, sabina wood and handcrafted terracotta tiles, appear throughout the property, while organic pathways wind through indigenous planting and lead guests towards hidden corners, sea-facing spaces and informal gathering areas.

The interiors take inspiration from Ibiza’s 1970s bohemian heritage, combining rustic textures, natural finishes and artisanal details with a restrained contemporary aesthetic.

The hotel offers 182 rooms, suites, lofts and villas, many of which feature private pools or uninterrupted views across the Mediterranean.

Among the property’s most distinctive accommodation options are communal cliffside villas designed around shared living, alongside double-height lofts created as residential-style studios for artists, musicians and other creatives seeking inspiration from the landscape.

Inside the GÖN House of Healing

Wellness sits at the heart of the Nômade Temple experience.

Hidden among the rocks, the 810-square-metre GÖN House of Healing has been designed to resemble the ancient cave formations found across Ibiza.

The subterranean sanctuary places water at the centre of its approach to physical and emotional restoration, with a thermal circuit encompassing hammams, saunas, cold plunges, flotation experiences and the hotel’s dedicated Wataflow Sanctuary.

Signature treatments include the Waterness Journey™, an immersive warm-water therapy in which guests are guided through a sequence of fluid movements intended to encourage deep relaxation and sensory awareness.

The Emotional Alchemy Ritual combines guided meditation with body therapy, while the broader wellness programme includes yoga, Pilates, astrology, hypnotherapy and emotional freedom techniques.

Guests can also experience Augustinus Bader facial therapies, use the dedicated movement studios and train in a fully equipped gym overlooking the northern horizon.

Each stay begins with a complimentary consultation with a Journey Designer, who can create a personalised itinerary spanning the hotel’s wellness treatments, movement classes and cultural programme.

Six Restaurants and Bars

Dining at Nômade Temple Ibiza has been designed as a series of social experiences, moving from relaxed morning rituals to fire-led lunches and late-night listening sessions.

At the heart of the hotel is TAVLA, an all-day restaurant inspired by the movement of cultures and ingredients across borders. Seasonal produce and open-fire cooking shape the menu, while long communal tables encourage guests to share dishes and conversation.

Café Libre serves speciality coffee and nourishing daytime plates, while KUU JŪ brings together Japanese omakase traditions, Mediterranean ingredients and locally sourced seafood.

Beside the hotel’s secluded cala, 4FU3GOS offers seafood-focused dining and open-fire cooking, designed for long lunches overlooking the water.

As evening arrives, Dante’s HiFi transforms the atmosphere with vinyl, artisanal cocktails and a sound system inspired by Japan’s intimate audiophile listening bars.

A Recording Studio and Cultural Temple

Music and creative expression are woven throughout the property.

El Templo, an adaptable events and movement space inspired by the geometric imagination of M.C. Escher, will host yoga, meditation, immersive performances, celebrations and cultural gatherings throughout the year.

The hotel is also home to Nômade Studio, a professional recording facility created with musicians and sound specialists.

Designed for artists, producers and creative collaborators, the studio positions the hotel not simply as a place to stay, but as an evolving cultural platform where new work, performances and connections can emerge.

Elsewhere, the hotel’s Bazaar takes inspiration from the markets of Istanbul and the souks of Morocco.

Guests can explore a curated collection of clothing, textiles, fragrances, spices, furniture, rugs, lighting and handcrafted objects, with almost everything within the space available to purchase.
