A new chapter in modern American yacht design has arrived. Florida-based shipyard Lazzara Yachts has unveiled its latest flagship concept, the LMY 165, a striking 165-foot superyacht that blends contemporary architecture, seamless indoor-outdoor living, and thoughtful engineering.
Constructed from steel and aluminium, the new vessel signals the next evolution of the Lazzara brand, designed not simply as a showpiece but as a refined long-range yacht built for relaxed luxury at sea.

A Sculptural Presence on the Water
From the first glance, the LMY 165 distinguishes itself with a sleek, elongated profile that feels closer to floating architecture than traditional yacht design. Expansive panes of glass run along the superstructure, acting as both a design accent and a way to flood the interiors with natural light.
The yacht unfolds across three expansive decks, where each level has been carefully planned to maintain a sense of visual flow and continuity throughout the vessel.
At the stern, the yacht’s beach club becomes the social heart of the vessel. Fold-out wings expand the deck footprint, creating a waterside terrace that feels closer to a private seaside lounge than a traditional swim platform. At its centre sits a rectangular infinity-style pool, framed by plush sofas and generous sunpads, an ideal setting for afternoons spent anchored in turquoise waters.
Moving up the yacht, guests will find an outdoor dining area designed for long, leisurely meals at sea, while the upper deck introduces a circular Jacuzzi, offering panoramic views across the horizon. At the bow, another oversized sunpad provides a quiet escape for morning coffee or sunset lounging.

Designed for Privacy and Comfort
Inside, the LMY 165 is configured to accommodate up to 12 guests across six staterooms, including a full-beam owner’s suite that offers exceptional privacy and space. While detailed interior renderings have yet to be revealed, Lazzara says the focus will be on design harmony and spatial calm rather than excess, a philosophy that prioritises livability and relaxation throughout the yacht.
Accommodation for nine crew members across five cabins ensures seamless service during longer voyages.
Power Beneath the Elegance
Behind the yacht’s elegant lines lies a robust engineering platform. The LMY 165 is powered by twin MAN or Caterpillar engines delivering 1,400 horsepower each, enabling a top speed of 15 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of around 12 knots, ideal for leisurely Mediterranean passages or island-hopping adventures.
The vessel also incorporates Lazzara’s patented sea chest system, which consolidates all seawater intake and discharge systems into a single component. The result is simplified maintenance and improved hydrodynamic efficiency, an innovation designed to enhance long-term performance.
A New Era for Lazzara
The LMY 165 represents more than just another addition to Lazzara’s fleet; it marks a design-forward evolution for the American yacht builder, combining understated luxury with thoughtful engineering.
Alongside other standout models such as the LSX 67 Limited Edition, the new flagship signals Lazzara’s renewed ambition to compete at the highest level of modern superyacht design.
If the concept becomes reality, the LMY 165 could soon become one of the most distinctive mid-size superyachts cruising the world’s most glamorous waters.
