In a world of increasingly predictable superyacht design, This Is It was never going to blend in.

Launched in 2023 and instantly one of the most talked-about yachts on the water, the 143-foot Tecnomar catamaran has spent the past two years challenging conventions, and turning heads wherever it docks. Now, the sculptural vessel is being offered for sale for the first time, with an asking price of €46 million.

More than just a yacht, This Is It represents a decisive shift in how ultra-luxury can look, feel and function at sea.

Built by Tecnomar, part of The Italian Sea Group, This Is It made its public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2023, where it quickly became the show’s most divisive and discussed reveal. Traditionalists questioned its unconventional form, while design insiders hailed it as a breakthrough moment for modern yachting.

Designed inside and out by The Italian Sea Group’s in-house team, with naval architecture by Lateral Naval Architects, the yacht’s defining feature is its asymmetry, a rarity at this scale.

Twin aluminium hulls optimise hydrodynamic efficiency and reduce fuel consumption, while the sweeping, curved superstructure creates a fluid silhouette inspired by marine life rather than maritime tradition. Nearly 6,500 square feet of full-height glass wraps the yacht, flooding interiors with light and blurring the boundary between inside and out.

With a beam just under 48 feet and a total volume of 758 GT, the catamaran delivers space on par with much larger monohulls — without sacrificing elegance.

Inside, the influence of high-performance automotive design is unmistakable. Rich leather, Alcantara and metallic accents are layered throughout the asymmetrical interior, creating a refined yet contemporary atmosphere.

Rather than rigid walls, social spaces flow organically, with curves and shapes defining zones between the main salon, informal seating areas and the formal dining space. Skylights and panoramic glazing amplify the sense of openness, ensuring uninterrupted sea views from nearly every angle.

Accommodation is spread across six guest cabins, with space for up to 12 guests, alongside quarters for 12 crew.

A Two-Deck Owner’s Retreat

The owner’s suite is a yacht within a yacht.

Spanning two decks, it features a skylight-crowned bedroom and en suite, a private panoramic terrace, and a striking two-storey vertical garden — an architectural feature rarely seen at sea. It’s a statement of intent: this is a vessel designed not just to travel, but to be lived in.

The exterior decks are equally bold.

Multiple lounges, bars and dining spaces cater to every moment of the day, while the asymmetrical aft deck delivers one of the yacht’s most memorable features: a dramatic angular swimming pool flanked by twin swim platforms, alongside a vast sun pad and oversized dining table.

It’s a layout designed for socialising — unconventional, unapologetic and unmistakably modern.

Commissioned in 2020 by self-made Cypriot entrepreneur Tasos Papanastasiou, the yacht’s name came about organically. When presented with Tecnomar’s early catamaran designs, the owner reportedly pointed to the concept and said simply: “This is it.”

The name stuck — and so did the vision.

Now offered for sale, This Is It stands as one of the most daring expressions of contemporary yachting on the market: a vessel for an owner who doesn’t just want to cruise the seas, but to redefine them.
