The best Formula 1 weekends have a life beyond the grandstand. In Monaco, that might mean dinner above the harbour; in Portugal, a few extra days beside the Atlantic; in Singapore, a quiet villa to retreat to after a night beneath the floodlights.

The newly announced 2027 Formula 1 calendar gives travellers plenty to plan around, with 24 Grands Prix, 10 Sprint weekends and the return of Portugal and Türkiye. For those building a holiday around the racing, the hotel deserves as much consideration as the seat at the circuit.

Here, we have selected 36 luxury hotels across 12 Grand Prix destinations and holiday regions, with three different ways to stay for each race. A dedicated trackside section highlights standout circuit-view stays and adds two further options, bringing the guide to 38 distinct properties. Some put you beside the action; others suit a longer beach, city or countryside holiday. The calendar gives full race-weekend dates, while each destination section highlights the main Grand Prix date.

What’s new on the 2027 F1 calendar?

Bahrain opens the season in March, followed by Saudi Arabia. Australia moves to the third round, before Japan and China. Portugal and Türkiye return after last hosting races in 2021, while Monaco retains its June slot and Madrid follows Monza in September.

The Sprint programme grows from six weekends to 10. Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Monaco and Abu Dhabi will host the format for the first time. For travellers, that makes arriving before the main Grand Prix especially worthwhile: check the session timetable before booking flights. Formula 1’s 2027 calendar explainer sets out the changes.

Stay beside the action: Hotels with circuit views

For some fans, the ideal Grand Prix hotel is one where the circuit is part of the view. These five addresses stand out for their position beside—or above—the action. Three also feature in our destination selections below; Fairmont Monte Carlo and Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone add two further options for travellers prioritising the racing outlook.

Escapade Silverstone — private residences at the circuit

Escapade Silverstone offers both trackside and countryside residences, so choose the category to match your priorities. A swimming pool, sauna, gym and The Gallery Restaurant & Bar make it an appealing place to stay beyond the sessions. Confirm the exact sightline and the 2027 event-access arrangements attached to your booking.

Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone — on the Hamilton Straight

Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone sits on the Hamilton Straight and offers track-view rooms, a restaurant and a rooftop bar. It earns a place here for its circuit position rather than as a five-star recommendation. Ask specifically about track-facing accommodation and which viewing areas your Grand Prix reservation includes.

Fairmont Monte Carlo — overlooking the hairpin

Fairmont Monte Carlo offers Hairpin City View rooms with private terraces overlooking the circuit’s famous bend. For a fan, that is a more meaningful distinction than a general sea-view description. This is an additional circuit-view option, separate from our three luxury hotel selections for Monaco below; confirm the Grand Prix terms for the precise room or hospitality package.

Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo — the Casino Square address

Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo places you beside one of the Monaco circuit’s defining settings. Selected rooms, balconies or hospitality spaces can offer views of the action. Ask the hotel to confirm the specific vantage point before treating your accommodation as a way to watch the race.

W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island — above Yas Marina Circuit

W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island is built over Yas Marina Circuit, making it one of the most distinctive stays for the season finale. The address puts racing at the heart of the experience, but outlooks vary by room. Confirm whether your booking includes a circuit view, viewing access or race admission.

For all five, a hotel reservation, a room with a race view and a hospitality ticket are different things. Obtain written confirmation of your room category, sightline, terrace or rooftop access and admission inclusions for the 2027 weekend.

Chinese Grand Prix: where to stay in Shanghai

Race day: 18 April 2027.

Shanghai makes a compelling city break around the race, particularly if you want evenings along the Bund and time to explore beyond the circuit.

The Peninsula Shanghai — for Bund glamour

The Peninsula Shanghai is the classic riverfront choice, with Art Deco-inspired interiors and views towards the Huangpu River and Pudong skyline. Sir Elly’s adds a suitably dressed-up dinner option, while the indoor pool and spa offer somewhere to decompress. Choose it for the Shanghai setting as much as the racing.

Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai — for a design-led city escape

On the banks of Suzhou Creek, Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai brings the jewellery house’s Italian perspective to the city. Its appeal is the combination of contemporary luxury and proximity to the Bund, making it a strong alternative for travellers who want the hotel itself to be part of the weekend’s attraction.

Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai — for a riverside base

Across the river, Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai offers another waterfront perspective. Dining ranges from regional Chinese cooking at Yong Yi Ting to French-inspired dishes at Fifty 8° Grill. It suits those who prefer to organise their evenings around the hotel after a full day at the track.

Race-weekend note: these are central Shanghai stays, not circuit hotels. Plan the journey to Shanghai International Circuit separately and allow for race-day crowds.

Miami Grand Prix: where to stay in Miami

Race day: 2 May 2027.

The choice here is between making the race the focus of a beach holiday and joining Miami Beach’s more theatrical social scene.

Acqualina Resort & Residences — for a beach-led holiday

Acqualina sits in Sunny Isles Beach, giving the weekend an oceanfront resort setting. Its beach and pool cabanas make a persuasive case for extending the stay beyond Sunday. Families and travellers who want time away from the race-weekend parties should put it high on their list.

Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club — for understated seaside glamour

Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club offers a Surfside alternative, with rooms, beachfront cabana suites and residences. The draw is the balance of an established seaside address and modern hotel comfort: a place to turn a busy sporting weekend into a more leisurely coastal stay.

Faena Hotel Miami Beach — for a more theatrical weekend

For a hotel with a stronger sense of spectacle, choose Faena Miami Beach. Its richly coloured interiors, oceanfront setting and private beach club suit a trip where dinner and evenings out matter as much as qualifying. This is the more expressive choice among our Miami picks.

Race-weekend note: the Miami International Autodrome is at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, rather than on Miami Beach. Treat any normal-day driving estimate cautiously and book transfers around your ticket’s designated entrance.

Monaco Grand Prix: where to stay in Monte-Carlo

Race day: 6 June 2027.

Monaco is also a Sprint weekend in 2027, adding another reason to arrive before Sunday. Here, your precise room and access arrangements can matter as much as the hotel name.

Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo — for the Casino Square setting

Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo occupies one of the race’s defining addresses on Place du Casino. Its grand-hotel history makes it a natural choice for the full Monaco occasion. Selected rooms or hospitality spaces may offer race views, but these must be confirmed specifically when booking.

Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo — for Belle Époque elegance

Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo is a five-star alternative for those drawn to Monaco’s more classical side. Its historic architecture, sea views and access to the resort’s wellness facilities make it appealing for a longer stay, especially when the itinerary includes time to recover after the racing.

Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo — for restaurants and spa time

Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo brings a Belle Époque façade, the Odyssey pool and Spa Métropole by Guerlain to the equation. Set in the Carré d’Or, it works well for a weekend built around dining and the Principality’s social life, with the hotel providing plenty of reasons to linger.

Race-weekend note: a Monte-Carlo address does not guarantee a circuit view. Ask about the exact balcony or terrace, hospitality inclusions and pedestrian access during road closures.

Portuguese Grand Prix: where to stay in the Algarve

Race day: 20 June 2027.

Portugal’s return is an invitation to pair Portimão with a proper Algarve holiday. Choose your coastal base according to the sort of days you want either side of the race.

Vila Vita Parc — for a complete resort escape

Vila Vita Parc makes sense when Formula 1 is one part of a longer trip. Gardens above the Atlantic, beach access, Ocean restaurant and the Vila Vita Spa by Sisley Paris give it substantial appeal beyond the circuit. Its breadth of facilities is particularly useful for groups whose interests do not all begin and end with motorsport.

Bela Vista Hotel & Spa — for a smaller coastal address

For a more intimate stay, Bela Vista Hotel & Spa offers a boutique alternative at Praia da Rocha. The historic house and beach setting give the trip a different character from a large resort. Choose it if your ideal race weekend ends with a quieter hotel and time beside the sea.

Penina Hotel & Golf Resort — for golf alongside the Grand Prix

Penina Hotel & Golf Resort is the five-star option to consider when your travelling party would like golf on the itinerary as well as racing. Its established resort setting in the western Algarve makes it an alternative to the beachfront choices, particularly for those extending their stay around another sporting interest.

Race-weekend note: Portimão town and the Algarve International Circuit are separate destinations. Compare routes to the circuit itself before choosing a hotel; none of these recommendations relies on a guaranteed transfer time.

British Grand Prix: where to stay at Silverstone and beyond

Race day: 4 July 2027, during a Sprint weekend. For a trip centred on the racing, start with accommodation at the circuit itself. Our two country-house alternatives suit a longer holiday before or after the event, rather than convenient daily journeys to Silverstone.

Escapade Silverstone — for a private residence at the circuit

Escapade Silverstone puts the circuit at the centre of the stay, with private residences offering trackside or countryside views. It is the strongest choice here for guests who want to spend the weekend at Silverstone itself. The Gallery Restaurant & Bar, a 15-metre swimming pool, sauna and track-facing gym give the accommodation an appeal beyond its address.

Choose your residence category carefully: countryside accommodation does not offer the same outlook as a trackside booking. Confirm 2027 Grand Prix availability, the exact view and the event-access terms attached to your reservation.

Ellenborough Park — for a Cotswolds extension

Ellenborough Park occupies a historic country-house estate near Cheltenham, with 90 acres of grounds, characterful bedrooms and a spa. Choose it for a Cotswolds holiday wrapped around the Grand Prix, leaving time for the hotel and its surroundings. The drive to Silverstone is substantial; it is better suited to an extended trip than repeated early-morning circuit runs.

Coworth Park — for a Berkshire country retreat

Coworth Park, near Ascot, brings a spa, polo lawns and a country-house setting to a longer itinerary. Its appeal is a few restorative days either side of race weekend. This is a destination hotel to combine with Silverstone, with a separately planned transfer, rather than a convenient local base.

Race-weekend note: Escapade is at Silverstone; Ellenborough Park and Coworth Park are substantially farther away. If attending every session is the priority, the circuit stay is the practical starting point. Treat the country-house options as extensions to the holiday and plan transfers separately.

Italian Grand Prix: where to stay in Milan for Monza

Race day: 5 September 2027, with a Sprint also scheduled for the weekend.

Staying in Milan gives the trip a second identity: fashion, design and long dinners once the track activity is over.

Portrait Milano — for a fashion-district stay

Portrait Milano occupies a former Archiepiscopal Seminary, with a striking historic courtyard at its heart. Its position in Milan’s fashion district and contemporary Italian interiors make it a strong choice for travellers who want to spend as much time exploring the city as following the racing.

Bvlgari Hotel Milano — for a garden retreat

Bvlgari Hotel Milano offers the luxury of a substantial private garden in the city centre. The spa and spaces for aperitivo give it a particularly appealing rhythm for a longer weekend. Choose it when you want somewhere calm to return to without sacrificing a central Milan address.

Mandarin Oriental, Milan — for dining and central convenience

Close to La Scala and the city’s luxury shopping streets, Mandarin Oriental, Milan is another five-star contender. Seta and Mandarin Garden provide different ways to spend the evening, from a more considered dinner to cocktails and Italian dishes. It is a useful base for guests adding cultural plans to the sporting itinerary.

Race-weekend note: these hotels are in Milan, not beside Monza’s circuit. Arrange the full journey, including the final approach to your entrance, rather than relying on an ordinary city-to-city driving estimate.

Spanish Grand Prix: where to stay in Madrid

Race day: 12 September 2027.

Madrid follows Monza on the calendar, making this a chance to combine Formula 1 with the Spanish capital’s restaurants, galleries and hotel scene. These three five-star city-centre stays make the wider city break part of the appeal.

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid — for rooftop dining

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid makes a strong case for lingering over dinner, with Dani García’s rooftop dining and the Isa restaurant and cocktail bar. Choose it if your plans extend beyond the grandstands to a celebratory city weekend, with the hotel providing an appealing destination at the end of the day.

Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid — for art and grand-hotel tradition

Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid sits between the Prado Museum and Retiro Park. Its location makes it particularly appealing to couples or groups dividing their time between the race and Madrid’s cultural attractions. Add a day for the museum, the park and an unhurried afternoon tea at Palm Court.

Rosewood Villa Magna — for a polished Madrid city break

Rosewood Villa Magna offers another five-star option for travellers making the capital itself a priority. Consider it when you want a hotel-led stay with room for dining and relaxation around the race, rather than choosing accommodation solely by its distance from the venue.

Race-weekend note: these are city hotels, not trackside stays. Plan your route to the Madring event entrance using the organiser’s published transport information, and check road closures before relying on a taxi journey.

Turkish Grand Prix: where to stay in Istanbul

Race day: 3 October 2027.

Istanbul’s return gives travellers a reason to build in several days for the city. The calendar lists the event subject to FIA circuit homologation, so keep that condition in mind when making commitments.

The Peninsula Istanbul — for contemporary waterfront luxury

The Peninsula Istanbul occupies four buildings on the Bosphorus in Karaköy’s Galataport area. Landscaped gardens, indoor and outdoor pools and Turkish hammams give it the feel of an urban retreat. Its waterfront position is especially appealing for travellers planning time to explore the city as well as attend the race.

Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus — for palace atmosphere

Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus offers a historic palace setting in Beşiktaş. Rooms and suites with Bosphorus views make the water central to the experience. It is the choice for travellers who want a grand Istanbul address and evenings that feel distinct from the intensity of the circuit.

Çırağan Palace Kempinski — for an imperial setting

Çırağan Palace Kempinski is another landmark Bosphorus option, combining an Ottoman imperial palace with five-star hospitality. The setting is the attraction: stay here when the hotel is intended to be a major part of the holiday, with room in the itinerary to enjoy it.

Race-weekend note: these waterfront hotels are on the European side of Istanbul; Istanbul Park is on the Asian side. A boat trip can enhance a city stay, but it is not a substitute for a properly planned circuit transfer.

Singapore Grand Prix: where to stay for the night race

Race day: 10 October 2027.

Singapore presents perhaps the clearest choice between staying near the event’s city-centre atmosphere and retreating to a resort after the action.

Capella Singapore — for a Sentosa escape

Capella Singapore is the resort option, set within landscaped grounds on Sentosa. Its rooms, suites, villas and manors offer flexibility for couples, families and friends travelling together, while the pools and gardens create a slower pace. Choose it for the contrast with race weekend, rather than for proximity to the circuit.

Mandarin Oriental, Singapore — for a Marina Bay base

Mandarin Oriental, Singapore puts you in the Marina Bay area, making it a compelling option for guests who want to remain in the centre of things. Confirm the room outlook and permitted routes to your ticketed entrance: a bay view and a race view are not interchangeable.

Raffles Singapore — for a classic city stay

Raffles Singapore gives the weekend a different kind of glamour, with its historic architecture and longstanding place in the city’s hotel culture. It is a strong choice for travellers who want Singapore’s heritage woven into their stay and time to enjoy the hotel beyond a hurried check-in.

Race-weekend note: road closures can change access significantly around Marina Bay. Check walking routes, public transport options and hotel pick-up points once the event’s access plans are released.

Mexico City Grand Prix: where to stay

Race day: 31 October 2027.

Make time for Mexico City’s restaurants, museums and neighbourhoods around the racing, with your hotel providing a comfortable base for a trip of several days.

Alexander — for a boutique suite stay

Alexander in Lomas Virreyes offers an intimate alternative to the city’s larger hotels, with 26 suites and a design-conscious approach. Poltrona Frau furnishings, generous windows and marble bathrooms give it a residential quality. It is a choice for those who value a smaller property and are happy to plan transfers around that preference.

Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City — for a courtyard retreat

Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City is arranged around a garden courtyard on Paseo de la Reforma. That combination of a central address and a sheltered interior setting makes it an appealing base for a busy weekend, with time left for the city before or after the Grand Prix.

The St. Regis Mexico City — for a contemporary Reforma address

The St. Regis Mexico City provides another luxury option on Paseo de la Reforma. Choose it for a polished city-hotel experience and a location that works for a broader Mexico City itinerary, rather than treating the stay simply as somewhere to sleep between circuit visits.

Race-weekend note: the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez requires a separate journey from these hotels. Ask your concierge to plan around your specific gate and the event’s traffic arrangements.

Las Vegas Grand Prix: where to stay on the Strip

Race day: Saturday 20 November 2027.

Las Vegas is the weekend for travellers who want the spectacle to continue after the chequered flag. Pay particular attention to the Saturday race date when arranging arrival and departure.

Wynn Las Vegas — for the full resort experience

Wynn Las Vegas is a strong choice for a trip built around the city’s resort culture, dining and entertainment. It suits guests who want several ways to spend their time within the hotel complex as well as the racing. Check the details of any Grand Prix package separately from the room reservation.

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas — for a hotel-focused Strip stay

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas is an alternative for guests who want a luxury hotel address on the Strip while keeping their race-weekend plans flexible. Ask about the exact room outlook and event-period access before booking: the location alone is not a promise of a view of the cars.

Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas — for a quieter return

Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas offers a non-gaming, non-smoking hotel environment, with dining and a spa providing an escape from the city’s constant activity. Choose it when the appeal is enjoying the race and the wider Las Vegas experience, then returning to somewhere with a calmer hotel atmosphere.

Race-weekend note: Strip road closures affect even short journeys. Confirm access routes and the distinction between a room booking, race ticket and dedicated viewing package. A high-floor city view is not necessarily a circuit view.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: where to stay for the season finale

Race day: 12 December 2027, with a Sprint joining the finale weekend.

Abu Dhabi offers a clear choice between immersing yourself in Yas Island’s racing atmosphere and turning the trip into a longer beach or city holiday.

W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island — for the circuit setting

W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island is the most directly race-focused hotel in this selection, built over Yas Marina Circuit. The setting makes it a natural contender for fans who want motorsport to define the stay. Confirm the precise room view, event access and package inclusions; a standard reservation does not automatically include race admission.

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental — for a beach holiday

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental shifts the emphasis towards a luxury resort stay, with a private beach and a grand Abu Dhabi setting. Choose it for a longer December escape with the final race as the centrepiece, allowing time to enjoy the hotel before heading to Yas Island.

Rosewood Abu Dhabi — for a waterfront city base

Rosewood Abu Dhabi sits on Al Maryah Island, with access to The Galleria’s shopping and dining. Its waterfront location and Sense spa make it an appealing option for travellers building a broader city itinerary around the finale. It offers a different rhythm from staying beside the track.

Race-weekend note: Emirates Palace and Rosewood require transfers to Yas Island. Compare those journeys with the convenience of a Yas-based stay before committing, particularly if you plan to attend the Sprint and other sessions as well as Sunday’s race.
