Embraer has revealed the Phenom 300EV, the latest evolution of its hugely successful light-jet series and a significant technological step forward for one of business aviation’s most popular aircraft.

The new model builds on the Phenom 300E, introducing upgraded avionics, enhanced safety systems, improved performance and a series of considered cabin refinements. Deliveries are currently expected to begin in 2028.

The Phenom 300 series has remained the world’s best-selling light jet for 14 consecutive years, establishing a strong following among private owners, corporate operators and charter fleets. With the 300EV, Embraer is seeking to reinforce that position while responding to growing expectations surrounding automation, operational efficiency and the passenger experience.

“For well over a decade, the Phenom 300 series has set the standard by which every light jet is measured,” said Michael Amalfitano, president and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets. “With the new Phenom 300EV, we are raising the bar once again.”

A More Intelligent Flight Deck

At the centre of the aircraft’s evolution is the new Prodigy Touch flight deck, based on Garmin’s G3000 avionics platform and developed specifically for Embraer.

Among its most notable additions is Emergency Autoland, a system designed to take control of the aircraft and complete a safe landing should the pilot become incapacitated or unresponsive.

According to Embraer, the Phenom 300EV will be the largest business jet to offer the technology, bringing a level of automated safety more commonly associated with smaller aircraft into a larger and more capable private-aviation platform.

The jet will also introduce a new Autobrake system to support smoother and more consistent take-offs and landings.

A Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller further integrates functions including rudder-by-wire technology, helping to reduce pilot workload while simplifying maintenance requirements for operators.

Greater Range and Payload

The Phenom 300EV retains the impressive performance for which the series is known.

Its maximum speed remains approximately 533mph, preserving its status as the fastest aircraft within the light-jet category.

Range has increased slightly to 2,055 nautical miles, while the jet will offer a payload capacity of 3,066lb. The additional capability gives owners and operators greater flexibility when travelling with passengers, luggage and equipment across longer routes.

These improvements could make the aircraft particularly appealing for regional business travel, private family journeys and charter itineraries requiring access to smaller airports without sacrificing speed or comfort.

Subtle but Meaningful Cabin Upgrades

Inside, the Phenom 300EV retains much of the cabin configuration of the outgoing 300E, including the largest windows in its class and what Embraer describes as the best cabin pressurisation in the category.

Rather than completely redesigning the interior, the manufacturer has focused on targeted improvements intended to make the onboard experience more comfortable and intuitive.

The refreshment centre has been redesigned, while temperature controls have been enhanced to create a more consistent cabin environment.

A new air-ionisation system has also been added, alongside a full vacuum lavatory designed to operate without lingering odours, an important refinement on longer journeys.

The result is a cabin that remains recognisably Phenom, but with greater attention paid to wellness, convenience and passenger comfort.

“Through purposeful innovations combining enhanced safety technology, amplified performance and thoughtful cabin refinements, we have introduced meaningful advancements that make flying more intuitive, seamless and enjoyable,” Amalfitano added.

With its combination of industry-leading speed, increased range and advanced autonomous safety systems, the Phenom 300EV represents more than a routine model update.

It is a clear indication of where the light-jet market is heading: towards aircraft that are not only faster and more efficient, but increasingly intelligent, automated and passenger-focused.
