Discover the Stunning Interiors of the Moonen 112 Martinique

The Moonen 112 Martinique is a true testament to the art of luxury yacht design, where heritage meets modern elegance. At this year's Palm Beach International Boat Show, the renowned Dutch shipyard, Moonen Yachts, revealed the interiors of its highly anticipated 37.4-metre model, the first in its series to feature interiors designed by Vripack. With delivery scheduled for September 2025, the Moonen 112 Martinique promises to redefine what it means to experience luxury at sea.

One of the most striking aspects of the Moonen 112 Martinique is its seamless blend of classic style and contemporary design. The yacht’s exterior, created by René van der Velden, retains the timeless, masculine look that has become a hallmark of Moonen’s designs.

Van der Velden, a long-time collaborator of the shipyard, has created a sleek and powerful silhouette that complements the spacious and luxurious interiors crafted by Vripack.

Stepping inside the yacht, the first thing that strikes you is the sense of calm and sophistication.

The interior design, which draws heavily on the rich traditions of Dutch craftsmanship, is anchored by materials like wood, leather, and brass. This creates a serene atmosphere that feels both inviting and indulgent, offering a perfect setting for relaxation and entertaining.

Vripack, a studio renowned for its unique approach to yacht design, has imbued the Moonen 112 Martinique with a thoughtful and creative touch. The interiors are rich in bespoke details, each designed to add a personal, artistic flair.

A standout feature is the dining room mural, inspired by the famous Delftware porcelain. What makes this piece so intriguing is the addition of a surreal twist—Vripack used artificial intelligence to craft a Dutch landscape that doesn’t exist, challenging visitors to imagine the rest of the scene. It’s a stunning example of how art and technology can combine to enhance the onboard experience.

The interiors also feature custom details such as the antique bronze mirrored ceiling in the main saloon, adding depth and light to the space. The contemporary Gabriel Scott Luna Light complements this, casting a warm, inviting glow throughout the yacht.

A Homely Touch to Life on the Water

The Moonen 112 Martinique doesn’t just offer a luxury aesthetic—it also creates a feeling of home on the water. The owner’s suite is a prime example of this philosophy. Traditionally, the placement of a bed in a yacht is dictated by space, but in this case, Vripack has made an innovative adjustment to the layout, flipping the position of the bed so that the owner can enjoy panoramic views through large forward-facing windows. It’s a thoughtful detail that brings the feeling of being at home to life in the middle of the ocean.

Additionally, the yacht features a cosy fireplace in the skylounge, complete with a Frame TV for those perfect movie nights on the water. The interiors have been designed to make you feel at ease, combining luxury with a homely charm that is rarely found in yachts of this calibre.

The colour scheme of the Moonen 112 Martinique complements its serene, sophisticated design. Dominated by smokey blues, greys, and warm woods, the interiors exude a sense of calm. The blue tones, in particular, are a nod to Dutch heritage, evoking the iconic shades found in traditional Dutch art and Delftware porcelain. This subtle homage to the past is balanced with a modern touch, brought to life by the use of high-polished walnut, a material that is notoriously difficult to work with but showcases Moonen’s exceptional craftsmanship.

The rich and refined interior palette offers a timeless appeal, ensuring the Moonen 112 Martinique remains as stylish as it is functional, both now and in the future.

The layout of the Moonen 112 Martinique is designed with both luxury and functionality in mind. Accommodation is spread across five cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, which offers unparalleled views. Two VIP guest cabins, two lower-deck guest cabins, and a dedicated skylounge complete the interior offering, providing ample space for relaxation, socialising, and privacy.

The 20-square-metre swim platform, large al fresco dining area, and expansive sundeck, complete with a sheltered dining area, bar, and optional custom whirlpool, provide plenty of space for outdoor living. Whether entertaining guests or enjoying quiet moments with family, the Moonen 112 Martinique’s layout ensures there’s a space for every occasion.

Underpinning the elegant design and luxurious interiors is the impressive performance of the Moonen 112 Martinique. Powered by twin CAT engines, the yacht boasts a top speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots, and an exceptional range of 3,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. This makes it perfect for long-range cruising, allowing owners to travel in comfort and style while exploring the world’s most stunning destinations.

The Moonen 112 Martinique is more than just a yacht; it’s a floating work of art that combines Dutch heritage with modern luxury. From the beautifully crafted interiors by Vripack to the thoughtful design touches that make it feel like a home, the Moonen 112 Martinique offers a one-of-a-kind experience at sea. With its seamless blend of art, craftsmanship, and performance, it’s clear that this is a yacht designed for those who demand the very best in both design and functionality.
