Our defining cover feature looks beyond the rhinestones to explore Dolly’s remarkable life as a songwriter, businesswoman, employer and philanthropist. From protecting the ownership of her music to creating employment in East Tennessee, supporting families after natural disasters and investing in education, healthcare and medical research, Dolly understood that the greatest value of success was what it could make possible for others.
At the heart of the issue is the story of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Inspired by her father, who never learned to read or write, the programme has now gifted more than 300 million books to children around the world.
As part of our collaboration, 25% of the proceeds from every print copy of Issue Seven sold will support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library UK. In the UK, £2.16 covers the cost of a book and mailing it directly to a child, while £26 could support a little reader for an entire year.
