Sanlorenzo has officially delivered the first hull of its all-new 58Steel, Perla Lunar — a landmark launch that not only marks 15 years of the Italian builder’s steel-yacht programme, but also redefines what the 190-foot superyacht category can be.
Designed by long-time collaborators Zuccon International Project, the 58Steel represents a bold evolution. With a wider 35.4-foot beam and Sanlorenzo’s first diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system in its steel line, the yacht offers the interior volume of a 210-footer while operating with quieter, lower-impact efficiency.
Massimo Perotti, Sanlorenzo’s Executive Chairman, describes it as “a superyacht that redefines proportion, privacy, and performance” — and Perla Lunar more than delivers on that promise.

A Private World at Sea
The increased volume is used to superb effect. Two full-beam VIP suites on the lower deck set a new benchmark for guest comfort, accompanied by a “Supreme VIP” on the main deck — a suite with a fold-out balcony, forward-facing bedroom, office, salon and an outdoor terrace that flows into its own pool.
Above, the dedicated owner’s deck becomes an entirely private retreat. A forward suite framed by floor-to-ceiling glass opens to uninterrupted horizons, with a dressing area, office, and a serene lounge that effortlessly converts into a cinema. Outdoors, an additional pool sits exclusively within the owner’s domain — a rare luxury even in this size category.

A Beach Club That Breathes In the Sea
At the stern, the beach club opens on three sides, transforming into a breezy waterside sanctuary complete with a bar, hammam, gym, and salon. The result is an unbroken connection to the ocean — a design choice that has become a Sanlorenzo signature, now taken to its most expansive expression yet.
Next-Generation Propulsion
Below deck, the 58Steel embraces a future-focused approach. Five 425 kW generators power a 1 MWh battery pack to support a modular diesel-electric hybrid system. This allows up to two hours of silent cruising and up to eight hours of hotel load at anchor with zero emissions.
The more compact engine room frees an additional 430 sq ft of interior space — a clever shift that translates directly into guest comfort.

Italian Craftsmanship, Elevated
Inside, Perla Lunar carries the understated glamour typical of Sanlorenzo: dark woods, Calacatta Borghini marble, mother-of-pearl inlays, and soft champagne finishes. The main lounge opens directly onto an infinity pool, while throughout the yacht, floor-to-ceiling glazing ensures the line between interior and seascape is quietly blurred.
Externally, the yacht retains the sculpted, architectural lines that have defined Sanlorenzo’s steel series since 2010 — only now with a more assertive stance and extended bridge deck. It’s a refined evolution for a fast-growing segment, and a statement that Sanlorenzo intends to remain the benchmark for yachts in the 180–200 ft range.
Perla Lunar is more than a milestone model — it’s a manifesto for where superyacht design is headed: quieter, more intentional, and more exquisitely private than ever before.
