A runway cameo has become something of a Beckham family tradition – a rite of passage that extends well beyond the immediate circle. Victoria Beckham, once known for slipping into satin hotpants to walk for Maria Grachvogel at London Fashion Week in 2000, now graces the catwalk only briefly, stepping out at the finale of her own collections to accept applause with her signature poise.
Two decades on, it is her children who are carrying forward the family’s fashion credentials. Brooklyn Beckham appeared in the blockbuster cast of the inaugural Vogue World in New York in 2022, joined by wife Nicola Peltz – herself no stranger to the runway, with a Balenciaga appearance years before meeting her British beau.
But it is middle son Romeo Beckham who is shaping up to be the true runway regular. At just 23, he has already walked for Balenciaga’s spring/summer 2025 show and Versace’s autumn/winter 2025 collection. This season, he took to the H&M runway in London alongside new-gen icons Lila Moss, Paloma Elsesser and Alex Consani, opening London Fashion Week in style. Clad in a leather flight jacket with matching trousers, Romeo’s confident presence underscored his transition from celebrity offspring to model in his own right.
The show itself brought its own star power. Singer Lola Young made her fashion week debut in a biker jacket and chain-embellished boots before taking the stage to perform her chart-topping single “Messy” for a guest list that included Emily Ratajkowski, Central Cee and Little Simz – proof once again that fashion and culture remain inseparably entwined.
With Romeo already establishing his footing, speculation now turns to the youngest Beckham. Harper, who recently celebrated her 14th birthday, has yet to step onto the catwalk – but when she does, it will no doubt be a debut every creative director dreams of. And if history is anything to go by, the front row may once again belong to her mother.
