Urban Automotive and Italian design house Visionnaire have transformed a Range Rover Long Wheelbase Autobiography into a sculptural living space on wheels, complete with carbon fibre bodywork, couture-inspired upholstery and a cabin informed by collectible furniture design.

Luxury cars are increasingly expected to offer more than performance, technology and status. For their most discerning owners, they must also provide privacy, individuality and the sense of entering a space created entirely around them.

That philosophy sits at the heart of a new one-of-one Range Rover by Urban Automotive and Visionnaire, unveiled to coincide with the opening of Visionnaire’s London flagship in Knightsbridge.

Based on a Range Rover Long Wheelbase Autobiography, the bespoke commission brings together Urban Automotive’s approach to automotive tailoring with Visionnaire’s world of Italian interiors, sculptural furniture and highly personalised design.

The result is less a conventional luxury SUV and more a private interior in motion.

A More Architectural Approach to the Range Rover

From the outside, the vehicle retains the familiar proportions of the Range Rover, but with a more assertive and highly individual finish.

A custom two-tone paint scheme is paired with Urban Automotive’s full carbon fibre Widetrack styling programme, including a replacement carbon fibre bonnet, bespoke front and rear bumpers and additional exterior detailing.

The contrast between the tailored paintwork and exposed carbon fibre gives the car a stronger contemporary presence without losing the restraint and elegance associated with the original model.

It is inside, however, where the collaboration becomes most distinctive.

A Cabin Inspired by Collectible Furniture

Rather than approaching the interior as a traditional automotive cabin, the designers treated it as an intimate living space.

Its creative starting point was Visionnaire’s Adele armchair by architect and designer Marco Piva. Known for its enveloping shape, curved outer shell and generous proportions, the chair combines embroidered leather with an aluminium profile influenced by automotive design.

That design language has now been brought full circle and translated back into the car.

Cream and green Alcantara upholstery is used throughout the cabin, alongside bespoke quilting, bronze metal accents and exclusive Urban x Visionnaire branding. The palette feels residential rather than overtly automotive, with soft tonal contrasts and tactile finishes intended to create a calmer, more cocooning environment.

The effect is closer to the lounge of a private members’ club, a contemporary penthouse or the cabin of a highly personalised yacht than a standard production SUV.

Designed Around Individuality

The concept, material palette and wider design narrative were shaped by designer Aro Omar, whose long-standing relationship with Visionnaire has helped define some of the brand’s most recognisable creative expressions.

Her approach brings together interiors, automotive craftsmanship and contemporary luxury living, resulting in a vehicle that feels considered as a complete environment rather than a collection of upgraded finishes.

For Urban Automotive Managing Director Matthew Welch, the project reflects a wider shift in how luxury is understood.

“The future of luxury is no longer defined by status or excess, but by individuality, craftsmanship and the pursuit of the truly exceptional,” he said, describing each Urban commission as a personal expression of its owner.

That idea is especially relevant in the world of bespoke motoring, where exclusivity is increasingly measured not by price alone, but by the degree to which an object can be made to feel singular.

A New Vision for Luxury on the Move

The vehicle was presented inside Visionnaire’s new five-level London flagship at 171–175 Brompton Road.

Conceived as more than a showroom, the Knightsbridge space brings together furniture, art, wellbeing and contemporary living, providing a fitting backdrop for a vehicle designed to move between the worlds of transport and interiors.

For Visionnaire, the collaboration demonstrates how the principles of Italian design can move beyond furniture and residential spaces into new areas of luxury.

The one-off Range Rover is ultimately not defined by any single material or styling detail. Its appeal lies in the way those elements work together to create atmosphere, something more private, personal and emotionally engaging than a conventional luxury car.

In an era when the rarest luxury is often the ability to shape one’s surroundings entirely to taste, this Range Rover offers a compelling vision of what bespoke mobility can become.
