Heathrow Unveils The Windsor—Newly Upgraded Private Terminal for Ultra VIPs

Heathrow Airport has unveiled its newly upgraded private terminal, The Windsor by Heathrow, setting a new benchmark for luxury travel. Captured through the lens of world-renowned photographer Rankin, the refurbishment offers an unparalleled experience for ultra-high-profile guests, from A-list celebrities to world leaders.

The £3 million+ refurbishment of The Windsor redefines luxury airport travel, featuring meticulously designed lounges, an elegant atrium, and a curated selection of fine artworks, including pieces by Banksy and Picasso, all available for purchase. Every detail has been carefully considered to offer guests the ultimate in discretion, comfort, and style.

Exclusive VIP Services

Designed for seamless travel, The Windsor by Heathrow offers a range of exclusive services, including:

  • Private chauffeurs from the guest's front door directly to the plane

  • Personal butler service catering to every need

  • Michelin-starred dining with exquisite dishes curated by Jason Atherton

  • A private shopping experience with Heathrow’s luxury retail experts

  • Art collection featuring works by renowned artists, available for purchase via QR code

Heathrow pioneered the world’s first airport VIP service over 60 years ago, initially catering to diplomats and royalty. In 2008, the Windsor Suite was introduced, later evolving into a fully commercial service by 2009. With VIP movements doubling over the past decade and plans to expand further in the next three years, Heathrow continues to lead in exclusive air travel.

Designed by the award-winning Oliver Burns Studio, The Windsor’s interiors exude understated luxury. Eight private lounges and a stylish lobby blend bespoke furnishings with contemporary elegance. British craftsmanship is highlighted through soft Axminster carpets, hand-crafted furniture, and collaborations with luxury designers like Tom Dixon and Commune.

More than just a private terminal, The Windsor by Heathrow doubles as an exclusive art gallery, showcasing works by David Hockney, Tracey Emin, Francis Bacon, and Andy Warhol. Guests can purchase these museum-worthy pieces instantly via QR codes displayed next to each artwork.

With prices starting at £3,812 (including VAT) for up to three guests, The Windsor by Heathrow offers an elite, stress-free travel experience. A chauffeur, all-electric BMW ensures seamless transfers, while Heathrow’s award-winning service guarantees discretion and efficiency.

Serving destinations such as Doha, Riyadh, Dubai, Los Angeles, and New York, with key airlines including Etihad, Qatar Airways, British Airways, American Airlines, and Emirates, The Windsor is open to all First and Business Class travellers, regardless of airline or terminal.

Charlotte Burns, VIP Lead at Heathrow, commented: “The Windsor by Heathrow is more than just a rebrand—it’s a testament to our heritage in pioneering luxury travel. From our carefully curated interiors to our exceptional service, we provide our guests with an unparalleled experience that reflects the finest of British hospitality.”

As Heathrow continues to invest in its world-class facilities, The Windsor by Heathrow stands as a shining example of the future of exclusive travel—where luxury, privacy, and seamless service come together to create an unforgettable journey.
